As of May 2020, there are over 26,500 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa. While the vaccine roll-out is underway, there are many Canadians who aren’t vaccinated just yet. And even then, it’s still possible to catch the virus.
Because of this, it’s important that businesses still keep up with COVID-19 safety measures, especially in medical and dental offices.
Keep reading to see what COVID-19 safety measures we’re taking at Vranjes Denture Clinic, a premier denture clinic in Ottawa.
To reduce foot traffic in our clinic, we are scheduling fewer appointments. This allows us to have fewer people inside at any given time, which will then let us practice social distancing much more efficiently.
We at the Vranjes Denture Clinic will be screening every patient who makes an appointment with us. We will go through a standard list of symptoms, and if a patient answers “yes” to any, we will not be scheduling an appointment with them at that time.
We will also take every patient’s temperature. If you have a fever, we will have to send you home and reschedule for a later time period.
Exceptions will be made for those who have gone through testing and have a negative result for COVID-19.
We ask all patients to sanitize once they come into our clinic. We will have a convenient station upon arrival. After sanitizing, we encourage all to limit their touchpoints, including a phone.
Thorough Cleaning Between Patients
We follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety. Our staff will keep up with thorough cleaning between patients, including changing masks and gloves. We ensure that all tools are pressure heated and also every surface considered a touchpoint is disinfected and sanitized before the next patient.
